Ajoy Veer Kapoor is a banker, private equity manager, angel investor, mentor, and entrepreneur with a remarkable career spanning various countries. His extensive professional experience has provided him with a unique perspective and profound insights into a diverse range of sectors. Ajoy commenced his journey in the banking industry as a retail banker at Barclays Bank before progressing to treasury and investment banking roles, and eventually assuming senior positions within the management structures of Standard Chartered and HSBC. After leaving HSBC, he founded The Saffron Group, an independent private equity firm focused on investments in India through a variety of funds. Under Ajoy's leadership, the firm managed and raised over £200 million across three funds, with a team of 39 skilled professionals. Subsequently, The Saffron Group was acquired by ILFS, India's leading private equity house. Currently, Ajoy directs his attention towards expanding his personal portfolio, investing in and mentoring startup businesses worldwide.
